The seventh of the items of the Eightfold Path 八正道; looking on the body and the spirit in such a way as to remain ardent, self-possessed and mindful, having overcome both hankering and dejection. Continual mindfulness without lapse. To continually keep (something) in mind. To be removed from evil thought and be mindful of the Buddha-way. To rectify the mind and hold to its true form. To be mindful of reality and not to be taken in by appearances. To skillfully remember affairs without lapse in memory.
