Under the direction of Dr. Supachai, and with the support of the Mahidol computing center, BUDSIR has digitalized the Siam version of the Pali canon, and made it available on a CD-ROM in a sophisiticated format. They have now installed a complete Thai translation of the Pali Canon on CD-ROM and have included a new search engine. With a smooth and user-friendly search, the text can display in five kinds of script, with numerous possibilities in terms of simultaneous multi-script, interlinked displays. Another multimedia aspect of the program allows for study of the text along with related pictures.
