Stuart Young


Stuart H. Young is Associate Professor of East Asian Religions at Bucknell University. He completed his Doctorate at Princeton University in 2008. His first book, Conceiving the Indian Buddhist Patriarchs in China (Kuroda Institute Studies in East Asian Buddhism, University of Hawai`i Press, 2015), examines medieval Chinese representations of Indian Buddhist sainthood. He is currently engaged in a long-term research project on Buddhism in the silk cultures of medieval China.
