Chieko Nakano

Chieko Nakano is a doctoral candidate in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona. She is currently working on her dissertation which explores the praxis of kechien (jiéyuán 結縁) evidenced in the narrative scrolls and setsuwa collections in medieval Japan, specifically in the late Kamakura period.
