Jamie Hubbard, who teaches Buddhism at Smith College in Northampton, Mass, is a specialist in medieval Chinese Buddhism, and is also a long time developer, user, and critic of digital research tools for Buddhist Studies. He has published the book Absolute Delusion, Perfect Buddahood: The Rise and Fall of a Chinese Heresy (University of Hawai`i Press, 2000), and edited the popular Pruning the Bodhi Tree (University of Hawai`i Press, 1997). He has contributed his glossary of Sanjie (Three Levels) terms to the DDB.
